Nutritional Management of Children with Cholestatic Liver Diseases

Live Webinar
September 16, 2020   8:00 pm Eastern Time

INTRODUCTION
Children with cholestatic liver diseases have unique nutritional requirements. Without bile reaching their intestines, they often suffer from fat-malabsorption and associated consequences. As a result, they require formulas with special fat preparations, as well as intensive monitoring to ensure adequate growth. They also often have fat-soluble vitamin deficiencies requiring aggressive supplementation.

In this webinar, nutritional considerations in children with cholestasis will be discussed, with particular emphasis on nutritional support and vitamin/micronutrient deficiencies.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is targeted to a broad range of health care professionals: pediatricians, family physicians, pediatric and adult gastroenterologists, hepatologists, pediatric and adult gastroenterology fellows, nutritionists, advance practitioners, and the general public.
