2022 Curriculum: Building a NICU Quality and Safety Infrastructure
2022 Curriculum: Building a NICU Quality and Safety Infrastructure
In partnership with the AAP NICU Verification Program, the Clinical Leaders Group (CLG) of the AAP Section on Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (SONPM) is excited to present a 2022 educational curriculum focused on tools and processes for quality improvement and patient safety. The curriculum will focus on helping NICUs build a quality and safety infrastructure, and is specifically designed to help NICUs meet the corresponding elements of the National Standards being developed by the NICU Verification Program.
The curriculum will be conducted over four webinars from May to September. Information on each webinar and links to join are below. We will conclude with an in-person wrap-up and review meeting held at the AAP National Conference and Exhibition (NCE) in October 2022 in Anaheim, CA.
We invite all NICU clinical leaders to join. In particular, we are targeting the curriculum to NICU medical directors, quality directors and nursing leaders. Ideally, NICUs will participate as a team with physician and nursing leadership. There is no cost to participate.
